Wouldn’t expect anything different. Most libs don’t even know the difference between capatalism and socialism. Selling stuff is seen by them as capatalism. Most of them would be shocked to find out about the economy of China.
Once our needs are satisfied, then our wants tents to escalate, indeed our wants become our needs.

I’m 100% that after the privatisation more stops will be removed. And that everyone will be suprised why it’s so busy doring rush hour and why some people can’t find a job.
Not to mention the continuous provoking exercises near the border. The last was just a week ago. It seems like the US is trying very hard to prevoke the north.
(Last weeks exercises: https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/south-korea-us-conduct-week-long-firing-drills-near-north-korea-border-2024-01-04/ )
The propaganda is crazy. One of the biggest Dutch news sites (NOS) posted a article where they stated that it violated the 2018 agreement. Only they failed to mention that the south where the first to back out of these (in nov 2023). The political agenda is so blatant, it’s crazy that people don’t notice it.
The NOS article (Noord-Korea schiet op zeegrens, Zuid-Korea reageert met oefening - https://nos.nl/l/2503789)
North Korea fires at sea border, South Korea responds with exercise
North Korea fired artillery near the sea border with South Korea during a military exercise, violating military agreements between the two countries from 2018. No damage has been reported. The South Korean military responded with similar shooting exercises. Residents of Yeonpyeong Island had to take refuge in bomb shelters.
A spokesperson for the South Korean military called the shelling a “provocation that threatens peace and increases tensions on the peninsula.” He said the movements of the North are being closely monitored in cooperation with ally the United States. Tensions
At the western sea border between the Koreas, fights have regularly broken out in the past. In 2010, North Korea last fired artillery directly at Yeonpyeong, killing four South Koreans.
North Korean state media reports that head of state Kim Jong-un has ordered the military to tighten defense and produce more launch vehicles, as the country faces ‘an imminent military confrontation with enemies’.
Last week, Kim already announced that he wants to prepare the country for a “US-instigated confrontation” by investing in nuclear weapons and espionage equipment.
You can’t have your own toothbrush.
Who would have guest…
Because I like their plans regarding climate change and biodiversity, that is in my view the most pressing issue at the moment. I also think that they will wield greater influence than Bij1, because their views are more readily embraced by the bourgeoisie.
I’m still a little bit on the fence between Pvdd or Bij1. But at this moment I’m more inclind towards the Pvdd.
Maybe you would have save drinking water in China, but at what cost?!
It’s as clear as day that the US doesn’t chose a position based on good morals/ethics. I really don’t get why some people don’t see it, it’s so easy to spot.
First of a sorry for the late reply.
The reason why I’m reading An Economic History of the USSR is because a Marxist-Leninist friend recommended it to me. It has some nice information, but I would recommend Blackshirts & Reds by Michael Parenti if you want some more general information. He gives a far broader field of information about the Soviet Union and the rest of the communist bloc.
Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the next) is indeed the one by Dean Spade. And yeah, it is a little too much focused on the US, but I would still recommend it.
Furthermore, I would really recommend reading Stasi State or Socialist Paradise. I just finished it and must say that it is one of the better books that I have read this year. It’s a light read but still contains so many great examples and information. It’s a great book for when you’re waiting for the train for example.
Sorry to hear that, from personal experience (a friend of mine is in the same situation) I know that it isn’t easy to see someone you care about fall for these conmen.
What worked in my case is by listening to his rants/complains and really keep asking to find out what is bothering him. Most things that he said ware a reflection of the neo-liberal capitalist sociality we’re living in.
I shared my viewpoint on the facts (not explicitly mentioning my Marxist-Leninism) and explained how today’s society ruins the many aspects of our life (like dating, for example, it isn’t in Tinder’s interest to have a high success rate because of the paid functions that mostly males use).
That way I got the “edge” of him. Nowadays he is far more open to other points of view and understands that a few girls that are selling themselves on social media aren’t a good reflection of them all.
By just being there for him and give some advice you can slowly but surely show him that other people acknowledge and share some of his concerns, and that they don’t need to be rooted in some misogynist way of think.
I hope that this is of some use, I wish you the best of luck!
I got a free pdf version here if you are interested.

Unfortunately isn’t that simple. If you would like to know more about the Ukrain conflict than please read “How the West Brought War to Ukraine: Understanding How U.S. and NATO Policies Led to Crisis, War, and the Risk of Nuclear Catastrophe” by Benjamin Abelow. It gives a far more balanced en factual analysis about the conflict.
I just started reading Stasi State or Socialist Paradise?: The German Democratic Republic and What Became of It, by Bruni de la Motte and John Green. It’s a great analysis of the DDR.
Furthermore I’m reading Killing hope by William Blum. A great book about Amerikan interventions/coups.
And ofcourse the Communist Manifesto (again).
After those I want to read An Economic History of the USSR 1917-1991 and Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next).
I completely agree with you comrade, great analysis!
I got one friend that did the same. I would just say something positively that a socialists country/person did.
Like how great it is that China got so many people out of poverty or how great it is that Havana is capable of growing a majority of all the vegetables and fruits that it’s citizens require.
After some time he would stop asking because he couldn’t stand that they are actively trying to better the life’s of its people and are achieving so many great stuff.
Just a few more years bro, believe me (copes intensively).
At the millions of people that were lifted out of extreme poverty (bUt At wHAt cOsT?!).
