i want more time, theres still a lot of virgin space and new communities are stil popping in
2 ideas for next years edition:
- open the canvas to mastodon account in order to show the full force of the fedivers
- show the handle of the person who put a pixel so we can contact and negociate

- announce it some weeks early so communities have time to organize
- don’t do it on August, many people on vacation.

You can do that. Just long press the pixel.
Thank you, didn’t knew that ^^. So only option 1 would be interesting to add next year if PM works the same with every ActivityPub services. Mastodon, Peertube, MissKey, Funkwhale, kbin, etc… All united to create a better r/place than the original ^^.

That authenticator might need it’s own service. It looks like it’s currently done with a lemmy bot.
I originally wanted to do that but Lemmy’s DMs don’t federate properly, which I’ll have a different solution for next years

What would your preferred frequency be?
I think five years is too long, the way reddit was going to make it. Imo three years is the sweet spot, not too frequent and not too far apart. If you make it every year the canvas would be almost the same, there needs to be some time so new communities can appear and for other events to happen in the world
lol I am loving just slowly making a Steve Buscemi face in one spot. Hopefully it will still be there when I wake up to finish.
