Why are some comments highlighted (or “greylighted”), e.g. the three in the middle, and some are not?

Is it something to do with my instance (lemmy.ca)? Their instance? Invidividual users?

Thanks. Although it just occurred to me: I’m pretty sure that was the first time I was viewing that post.
They are new comments. If you see any comment which look “more” highlighted (e.g. yellow background) and is pinned to the top of the post, then it is a manually distinguished comment by a moderator.
