If it’s the same thing as last year, it’s a way to play the TCG with only the few cards you get in the promo pack plus a little spinner toy. You and your opponent pick a card then spin the spinner. The spinner tells you what number on the card to use for the battle (HP, Pokedex number, height, weight, or card number) and if you need it to be higher or lower than your opponent to win. Then, the battle is just you and your opponent looking at the number on the card you chose and seeing whose number is smaller or larger.
Kinda underwhelming, but I suppose it’s just a way to play with the cards you’re given without needing a whole deck.
