When Top Gear chained the thing down to go through a cycle of the tides in the fucking North Atlantic and their mechanics could restart the thing on the fucking beach…
That’s when I became a believer.
Ah fuck this brings up memories, we had a hylux that we shared in the company that was mostly used for bringing people to and from the flightline. Since it was a manual, I was one of the ones that could drive it. I loved cruising along the runway at night, listening to the one radio station with the windows down as helicopters and planes were taking off and landing. I loved that truck.
To their credit, they did in fact make a pretty great truck
Only thing that could serve better as a technical would be one of those blocky volvos from the 80’s and 90’s, if they had a pickup version and bigger wheels.
A redblock Volvo 240 technical would be fucking indestructible.
Didn’t have a strong enough roof for a SAM system…
Fine A SAAB 900 and SAAB SAM mounted.
Those Volvo 240 are explicitly prohibited as technicals by the Geneva Convention.
The anti-aircraft add-on really gives a lot of bang for the buck
technicals based on these were some of my favorite vehicles to drive around in GTA Online, before they banned all linux users for no reason
I drove one of these as a teenager, it was great.
Is that the one Marty got at the end of BTTF? Although I think his truck looked more square-ish.
Older one but yeah
Chad wins wars with this stuff
