The regulation provides that by 2027 portable batteries incorporated into appliances should be removable and replaceable by the end-user, leaving sufficient time for operators to adapt the design of their products to this requirement.
If you don’t think aesthetics is a valid argument I don’t know what to tell you. Just because you don’t care about it doesn’t mean other people don’t, or that it’s an invalid opinion.
