TLDW: the company that forgot to renew on “Mythbusters” also owns CNN. He bought the rights to “Mythbusters”, and made fun of CNN.
CNN stole one of his videos, and in relatiation he made a parody of their logo and sold it on t-shirts saying “CUM”. Said company is now swinging their legal weight around in an attempt to silence/ punish Allen Pan. It is unclear if said company will even ALLOW him to comply.
Real tl;dw - he gives up completely because despite being in the right, CNN could bankrupt him in legal fees. Yay capitalism!
