Hey people! I just created the hub socialanxiety@lemmy.blahaj.zone since i didn’t find a Hub for that yet, and feel like i have relevant experiences and want to help the whole plattform grow. Since i never created a sub on reddit or the like before, i am wondering if there are things i can do to help the Hub grow and reach the people it was designed for?
In addition to advertising, you also need content. The most awesome bird feeder in the world won’t make birds flock to it if there is no actual food in it, so give potential subscribers something to “consume” first. Tips and tricks to overcome anxiety, your own experiences as a starting point for discussions, maybe helpful links, an introduction post welcoming newcomers, the like. An empty space won’t make people want to join.

try making a few high quality posts on it that you would find interesting, then linking the posts in the comments
Post content, even if it’s reused content, just make sure it’s relevant and high-quality. Engage when someone else posts something. Respond to comments. Stay consistent and you will have great success.
