I hate the “spend more money to spend less money” solutions, but I have to say, the Steam Deck helped me a lot with this.
Sure, my first sale after owning it was a bit crazy with the purchases… But after that, it really helped me get into a “finish your backlog before buying anything else” mindset for a variety of reasons. Being able to suspend a game and resume where you left off, playing in bed, playing next to my fiance in the couch… Plus, older games tend to work perfectly without finicky behavior.
