They can save you money by scraping your web browsing habits and potential products then push you towards chosen vendors and their own services. Just like every other big tech company!

But frankly, the entire point of the chromium browser engine is to harvest to whatever company is shipping it. To play devil advocate: If you have to use Chromium, might as well do it on one that gives you a pittance back?
