Hey folks. I’m relatively new to lemmy and the fediverse. After spending some time here I really like the idea and most of the implementation but there is one major flaw. As a user I cannot seem to ban a whole instance and that really sucks. I do not want to get bombarded by porn all the time but there are more porn communities on lemmy than stars in the universe. I can spend all day blocking them one by one.
So I either need a way to block stuff like porn and similar nonsense instances OR I need a instance finder that can help me find an instance by entering what stuff I need banned and what stuff I need federated. I do not have the time to look through every instance myself.

There’s a third option of self hosting an instance for yourself. I understand that’s not an option for everyone, but it would solve your issues too.
