I was wondering if anyone with experience with State Bicycles could give me their opinion. I am looking for an entry level road bike - looking at gravel bikes because the streets around me are so bad. I have looked at a lot of options and have it narrowed down to these two bikes. I know State has really good reviews but it’s hard to do a head-to-head comparison since they use all proprietary components. I used bikesdirect for my first bike and was overall happy with the purchase and felt like it was a good deal so I am inclined to buy from there again but the State is intriguing… How does the state drivetrain compare to the shimano gx400 in the bikesdirect bike?
