Congrats! What guitar are you coming from, and what’s the difference like?

I’ve been playing an ES-335 Studio since about 1999.

I love the look and feel of it, but it has the dirty fingers pickups and they just aren’t great.

I’m considering replacing the pickups with a better set of Gibsons, or maybe going for something crazy like some Seymour Duncan P-Rails.

I like that top a lot. The lower bout looks like it belongs on a custom. If they’d had a book matched piece to it, I’d bet that’s where it’d be. Beautiful guitar. Congrats!

I’ve never played a LP. I should. My preferences tend towards PRS, but a LP has always been on the list.

As someone that’s mained a Gibson Les Paul for like 10 years now, I got the opportunity to play a PRS single cut and I’m really close to pulling the trigger on one.

Wonderful and thoughtful instruments. The PRS single cuts seem to address every quibble I have about Gibson LPs. Definitely worth looking into if you’re not familiar!

I have played a McCarty 594 single cut. Likely why I’ve never felt the need to get a LP. I do REALLY want a 594. Now that they have an SE line I might afford another.
