I’m on vlemmy and I don’t understand what I have to do when I have a 404, I get the FAQ says to “search for it” but how do I do that? In one case the 404 disappeared randomly but for other communities the links starting with my instance always return a 404. Is there something I can do?

I wish I knew. My process so far has been:

        1. Use browse.feddit.de to search for a community, or stumble across a link to one posted somewhere.

        2. Copy the link to it and go to lemmy.one/search (presumably you can substitute your own instance before the /), and paste it into the search field.

        3. Click on the result, then click “sidebar” and “subscribe”.

It’s clunky, but so far it has worked.
