You might (or might not) have had a New Year’s resolution, but what’s your summer resolution?

Mine: Going for more hikes, camping & kayaking. And of course, staying away from reddit.

    • Meet new people, make new friends (working out well so far)
    • Spend as little time on the computer as possible (difficult with what i study)
    • Build a living room table for my family (they wanted a new one and i can do that)
    • Help my sister and brother in law finish building their house (i learned carpentry before going to university)
    • work out (actually started doing that, 45min a day right now thanks to youtube workout and yoga videos)
    • stop chewing my fingernails (I had a nervosity-related problem with this in the past, but i might be over it :D)

idk, be a better person. So far this is the best year of my life regarding personal progress. I stopped playing videogames (or at least cut it by like 95% or something). I regularly meet with new friends in the park or other places, I have a new hobby (photography - i really enjoy it)

Oh, this is a good question. I am not one for vacationing. I will use this summer to finally get on with WebDev. Hopefully. Need to stop procrastinating ffs.

Cleaning out and organizing closets and cabinets. Taking my kids to the pool as often as possible. And staying off Reddit.

Make it through the UC Berkeley CS61a/b/c lectures and follow up by finishing CS162 on operating systems (posted free online). I started messing with the Linux CFS for CAD project optimisation. I want to try and modify the scheduler for an option to scale the timeslice based on non voluntary context switching when a process is pinned and isolated on a CPU core or set. I can only write in spaghetti ++ ATM.
