I mean I have a hard time finding ppl to play with. It personally my favorite format to play with for commander

    It definitely forces decks to be able to adapt to wildly changing battlefield states since each player now has this dice roll to mix everything up.

    I fully enjoy adding a planechase game every so often.

    I like it as a “sometimes” thing. It’s adds a very in-your-face lolsorandom aspect to the game that is too much for most games.

    It’s fun but can invalidate too many cards and decks and board states to be the normal way to play for most people.

      It’s a very sometimes thing for me. Especially with EDH decks, it can take a game that would already take a chunk of time to play and makes it take longer.

      I think it adds fun spice to games when you have a deck that you’ve played a lot.

      But otherwise, and especially if your enjoyment in MTG comes primarily from brewing, and then seeing your decks perform, planechase robs you of that by making your decks operate in weird conditions.

    I tried it recently and we enjoyed it. I could see not wanting to deal with it every game though. I dunno, maybe some people just don’t want to have to deal with adding something new.
