This is a very low effort false equivalency. Yes, some peoples personal politics don’t align with the foreign policy of their elected candidate because foreign policy is a nuanced, complex, and often not well understood subject with murky goals, benafactors and interest groups. Foreign policy is also not for the benefit of the individual, it’s (theoretically) for the long term economic and militaristic goals of the state.
However, when the party you vote for builds their entire campaign around revoking civil liberties (which are directly for the benefit of the individual) and identity politics (anti-gay, anti-Trans, anti-women, anti-minorities) there really isn’t any way to detangle that from personal politics. If you vote for the party that hates women and is actively trying to strip their civil liberties, then you hate women and you’re actively trying to strip their civil liberties.
If you vote for the court recognized sexual assaulter and rapist, then you don’t consider sexual assault and rape to be negative things deserving of scorn and punishment. Simple as that.
