I’ve been using Ubuntu for roundabouts 12 years now. I just installed it on my gaming PC and the gaming experience on it has been a million times better than what it was 2 years ago. There are lots of titles that have native support now, and of my games that don’t, they all run very nicely with Proton. I’m pretty amazed by it all.

I was gonna wait a year to hop off Windows, but aside from the same copy of Excel 2010 I’ve been using for over a decade now, I don’t see much reason to stay on Windows. It steals my data. It advertises to me. It’s a resource hog. It crashes at least once a week. I’m just pretty done with it overall.

Yeah I last booted windows consistently to play elden ring. I’m back now and playing other games in my library without issue. Proton has seen strides in improvement year over year. It’s amazing.
