    Shout-out to !pixeldungeon@lemmy.world !

Pixel Dungeon is an awesome, open-source rogue-like with several mods (more like branches) in active development. Stop by the community for suggestions about which versions to try, tips for not dying, and to share your wins.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon (one of the most popular mods) is free on the Play Store. You can also get on PC via Steam for $10 and pay-what-you-want on itch.io. You could also compile yourself from GitHub (Android, iPhone or PC)

I run Droid, Shattered Pixel Dungeon is free on that. I’m just a fan and not a great resource, but If you ask in the community you’ll probably get answers

I’ve been playing pixel dungeon for 5+ years. I enjoy how the dungeons are random so it’s always a surprise. I have never beat this game but one day…it could happen. It’s simple, challenging, free, and can be played off- line. My favorite ever app game.
