Nope, it’s a revenue generator for the USPS so they just slide in adverts that aren’t addressed to your address or any particular person. Zero recourse other than not receiving any mail at all.
This is on top of all the shit that is addressed to you that you can slowly try to fight and unsubscribe from. Catalogs and ‘current resident’ shit.
I wouldn’t say I stop the junk, but I use informed delivery so I can see what’s coming every day.
If it’s the usual daily onslaught of junk mail, I generally will only go to my mailbox once or twice a week to empty it out.
I only go out there more frequently if something comes with personal information beyond name and address or the very rare actual piece of mail which recently included the unfortunate call to jury duty.
Don’t forget the adverts that you can’t stop them from delivering…shit drives me crazy
Can you not where you are? In Canada, you can just tell Canada Post to not deliver them and they’ll stop within a couple weeks
