Honestly not a big fan of the switch to 3D, but still happy we’re getting a new sequel after all these years.

It’s going to be a little weird not playing on a touch screen but I’m ready for more layton adventures.
Believe it or not, but the Switch has a touch screen.
The games are required to be playable without a touchscreen though
They still can support Touchcontrols
They can support touchscreens but need to be playable when docked.

Do you need to play previous games to appreciate Layton series? I’ve only played the ace attorney crossover and the first 20 min or so of lady Layton.
Not really, they’re all self-contained. That said you should play Professor Layton and the Curious Village, it’s quite good and has a high quality remaster on mobile phones.
