    I like how the comment asks whether China “will become” socialist not even bothering to ask whether they are proceeding from a false premise. No, China will not become socialist by 2050 because it already is socialist and has been since its liberation in 1949.

    That subreddit is so aggressively incurious and so offended by the mere concept of learning something new which contradicts their preconceptions that i am starting to believe it cannot be anything other than an op. Maybe it didn’t start out that way but it is one now.

      Id take it a step farther and say that I wouldnt address the “socialistness” of an institution as a binary, but as a spectrum of characteristics (of which the PRC/CPC has many, but is lacking others)
