In the same time frame, humanity went from 2 Billion people, to 10 billion people. 500% increase.
I don’t care what the actual math works out to. If we have become literally 2500% more productive as a species in the last 100 years, while increasing the total amount of people a whole FACTOR down from that, then we deserve the other numeral root. We have a right to have 5x more average wealth than a person 100 years ago.
And we don’t.
Infact, google tells me we stagnated since the 70’s. Literally stopped the common man becoming richer since the post-wars.
If you ask my layman’s opinion, I would say absolutely. But it’s only because of one number: The entire world’s GDP, adjusted to inflation.
