The last ~5 years the winters have gotten pretty nasty. It used to maybe snow 1-2 days a year, but lately we’ve had weeks of snow/nasty weather during the winter.
Combine that with the hills and there is probably a good month or two where you would be pretty uncomfortable.
I used to commute ~1 hour in the rain, and it wasn’t too bad with a fully body weather suit, but I never tried it in the snow.
Infrastructure is pretty much 0 for snow except maybe on I-5. The general approach to snow has been “let it melt”.
