I’ve never tried eating the stems. What’s it taste like?

    If you like cauliflower, you’ll probably like the stems. The outsides can be woody, so peel them if they are and you won’t get strings in your teeth.

    Sometimes they turn a bit bitter, same as with Broccoli.

    I usually separate them from the tops and mix them into a smooth paste for a soup or so.

    I love the stems, they are tougher and more stringy but have a stronger flavor.
