It’s impossible to have a real discussion about this topic, especially right now. Anything other than “Israel is perfect and an innocent victim” is viewed as anti-semitic hate speech.
What they wrote was fine. Israel hawks are sick in the head.
You can just say Zionists.
I almost did, but it occurred to me that I’m not sure what Zionism really means. I suppose some people sincerely believe in it, but is it fair for the term to include people who are just in it for the real estate, people who just use it as a political cudgel, or Christian evangelical doomsayers? Furthermore, there have to be a few Zionists who would acquiesce to Palestinian demands or disagree that it should be in Palestine, right?
What a messy and screwed up situation. There’s so many things I could say but every time I think of one Id have to write a million concessions just so somebody doesn’t scream at me.
I think what I will say just to be safe here is that if you plan on doxxing people you disagree with then it might be a good idea to make sure they’re the right person. Assuming (key word here) that the Professor they interviewed is telling the truth here… and that is a big assumption, then it would be insanely messed up to reveal private information about somebody who had nothing to with this situation at all. I think we can all agree with that regardless of viewpoint.
The Israel-Palestine…thing…is quite possibly one of the most complicated geopolitical situations in the world so you know what? I’m not saying a thing. Fuck it, I’m out.
