The definition of paraphilia is “a condition characterized by abnormal sexual desires, typically involving extreme or dangerous activities.”, which can inclde pedophilia.
It has recieved 4 censures from fediseer due to the content contained on that instance
Not a good look for Lemmy to be promoting any instance like that.

How long has it been there? Months?
The lemmy.ml devs were ok with Nazi instances being on join-lemmy “because people can just choose to join a different instance if they want” (or words to that effect) so it’ll be interesting to see how far they take that line of reasoning.
It looks like the instance has only existed for about a month, so it’s not too surprising it hasn’t been noticed before now.
They already removed pedo instances before, so they’ll probably remove this one. They seem to draw a much harder line on pedophilia than politics.
CSAM will bring negative law enforcement attention, whereas nazi content will get you a big thumbs-up from the cops.

They’re authoritarian leftists, who support Putin. They have more in common with fascists than most people do.
That’s the thing with being pro free speech - it means not censoring speech you hate.
Things quickly get complicated when the speech is (potentially) harmful.
This isn’t a censorship issue. This is a choice about whether to publicise and promote pedophiles or not. No website has a right to be included in join-lemmy listings.
I didn’t take them to be free speech absolutists, though.
They’re as leftist as the “communist” China. Or as “socialist” as the Nazis were. Just because someone calls themselves “communist” or “socialist”, doesn’t mean it’s true. And if you support China, Nazis, Soviet Union or its successor Russia, you’re not a communist or socialist.
