Is there anything I need to keep in mind? Does running Graphene void any warranty and cause them to deny my request? How much do I need to pay in the US?

Thanks!

Why do they need to reset it to factory settings though, Google has full system access through Google Play, surely they can build the diagnostics tool into the core Android image.

Samsung fixed this by introducing a repair mode that basically locks the phone down to the essentials.

I assume they can do this and I think they plan on something like it (pretty sure I heard this from Mishaal Rahman on a podcast). But yeah the way pixel devices come apart is way more granular which is a good thing but can end up in more issues from things breaking. Google doesn’t have the best rack record with build quality unfortunately.

They probably don’t but want to set up limited scope testing to avoid having to argue over a battery not randomly working because a random rom is installed.

It’s dumb but I get why it’s done.
