The N Vision 74 Concept from 2022 had a hydrogen fuel cell that fed power to a pair of rear-mounted electric motors.
It looks beautiful!
I’m sure a lot of people will disagree, since the Ioniq 6 is also controversial.
It’s great. I’m itching to get electric, but I don’t want one of these 4/5 door sedan/SUVs that they all seem to be.
We’ve got quite a few hatchbacks in Europe, though so far I’ve only found the VW ID.3/Cupra Born good enough for my needs (roughly a compact). Most of the hatchback models out now are a class below that and don’t have enough range to be a first car replacement for frequent drivers.
Allow me to express it like this: I want an affordable EV coupe that looks good/cool, like this Hyundai. They make EV coupes but I don’t have the £/$1M spare they are charging. The only EV hatchback that I think is cool enough is the Honda e, and that’s still got too many doors.
I agree, and pairs nicely with their ioniq 5 design language, which is also beautiful to be. And I also agree that many folks will disagree. I found kia ev6 to be uglier than ioniq 5, but I found out I’m in the minority. And ioniq 6 isn’t ugly to me, but I don’t find it too pretty either. Tastes are different, I guess.
The i6 is interesting in that people find different parts of it good/bad. For some people they hate the back, but I’m one of the people that hates the front. I’m waiting to see what they do for the inevitable i6N, because the RN22e fixes the front IMO. Then again I doubt I can afford one, so…
I would of course prefer a coupe, but a lot of the production rumors around this car suggest it’s going to be $100k+, with a carbon fiber tub.
I might actually buy a Hyundai if it looked this good
Hyundai is definitely leading in design recently, they all look like the future
Getting strong 80s vibes
In the best of ways
Unfortunately, the Ioniq 6 does not look like the Prophecy concept. So I don’t have high expectations that they make a production car as good looking as the N Vision 74 Concept.
