From what I’ve seen in the videos, when the cops say “get out of the car”, “get down on your knees” or “put down the gun”, people either unresponsive or swear and refuse.

What’s the reason for this? In a place where the police have so much power, why don’t people care?

Update: I triggered people somehow. I’m not from US. I apologize for asking a question about a subject that I don’t know. It won’t happen again.

I’m guessing you’re only looking at videos where this is happening and not the hundreds of times where people follow directions.

Because they’ll kill you either way. They can’t be trusted and following their orders won’t help.

Because the police have too much power and we need to assert ours wherever we can. We shouldn’t give in to authoritarian forces. Police were supposed to be trained to diffuse situations and protect the general population from crime - not manufacture crime and harasses, abuse, and murder people.

I believe the short answer is that they do not feel it will improve their situation. If they are actually guilty of something, they now need to suffer the consequences. If they are innocent, they are at the mercy of someone else in a field that is not devoid of corruption and abuse of power. For some, that is just not a situation they feel comfortable with so they attempt to avoid it.

    “Won’t happen again.”

So you asked a question, got answers, but don’t like the answers you got? At a 23-year old software developer, how do you expect to learn new things? Do you only accept answers you prefer?

“My teacher marked one of my answers wrong, I’m not going to school anymore.” That’s what you sound like.
