: an unexpected usually disconcerting challenge, revelation, or catch
also : an attempt to embarrass, expose, or disgrace someone (such as a politician) with a gotcha
You’re right, please forgive me. Let’s put the spot light back on you.
What’s this charade the judges are playing by sentencing these people for decades again? Obviously ten or more years is a short time. What’s the grift?
The grift is that they need attention there so we don’t realize birds aren’t real. Same reason they have those drones in nyc for Labor Day weekend. They want us to think if they need drones they don’t have birds but the fact is it’s all a stunt. Attention is what it is. Remember, birds aren’t real.
They’ve given the defendants of 1/6 every opportunity to receive minimal sentencing, often going well under what the prosecutors have asked for, foregoing reasonable enhancements, and every other leniency. Some have also walked due to biased judges. This is a popular criticism, it’s not exactly a fringe opinion.
I think the point is that people perceived your first post as a statement coming from a right wing conspiracy nut. With this post it’s clear that you mean that there is a political bias in favour of the defendant.
The accused are playing their part - if the judge doesn’t play theirs, how is the charade supposed to work?
Sending people to jail for decades: the new charade.
-by your local tinfoil hat
I don’t believe anyone has received a sentence that would have a minimum of even 2 decades, but correct me if I’m wrong.
Oh what a gotcha. 18 years isn’t two decades. Good job 👏
That sounds like a foreign language.
Is common English foreign to you?
gotcha noun
: an unexpected usually disconcerting challenge, revelation, or catch also : an attempt to embarrass, expose, or disgrace someone (such as a politician) with a gotcha
Used in a sentence:
Not this guy. Briggs? That’s one person, and I believe I read he is likely to serve only 10 - again, correct me if I’m wrong.
Totally forgot ten years isn’t a decade.
Man, you really got me by the balls.

22 years. 2.2 decades. Multiple. Decades. Plural.

Oh boy.
What charade is that?
Mostly the double standards in sentencing.
ROFL! I would LOVE an explanation of this.

That’s not an example of double standards. I’m wanting that part explained.
