I see plenty of emojis used by the kids I work with but they don’t seem to use that one much at all, but yeah I see the cat one. They like the poop one a lot more.
But it’s all light hearted, it’s never like a serious thing.
When boomers put up notices about how “NO ONE WANTS TO WORK ANYMORE” on their small business tyrannies and put 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂😂 around it, that’s not very light hearted.

Yeah I mean the kids are being light hearted, the boomers are obviously seriously mad lol.
It’s probably a local thing with chat apps like WhatsApp fully replacing text messaging over here
I’m not anti-emoji at all but the “I’M NOT MAD LOOK AT HOW MANY 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 I USED” is pure
and accordingly 
uses them a lot.
