Tucked away in the basement of a still open mall. Originally a bomb shelter, the space was converted in to a retail space. In 2000 they sealed it off and it’s sat dormant since.
Liminal spaces vibes for sure. Spooky!
At some point it was used as storage for Christmas decorations. Over the years they have moved throughout the space. Very eerie
Would be a great place for a film set
That’s what they did for The Last of Us. Most of the scenes were shot in a mall scheduled to be demolished.
faint echoes of crying in the distance
Then you spot a little girl crying in the corner
“Why didn’t they pick me up?” She says with her head tilted…
“I just want to go home. Will you take me home? I’m cold. So so cold. Hold my hand.”
This looks like such a cool space to play in!
“Attention all shoppers. If you have a sweet tooth, we have a special treat for you. If your purchases in the next half hour amount to five dollars or more, we’ll give you a bag of hard candy free! For the kiddies, or enjoy yourself. So hurry and do your shopping!”
So, so many questionable design choices. The lamppost raised 2ft off the ground, is that supposed to give us the impression of being on a neighborhood street? All the 90s tiling around it says otherwise.
Originally a bomb shelter, the space was converted in to a retail space
I think this explains much
the tiles make it look like we’re at the bottom of a swimming pool
Resident Evil vibes 😱
From the thumbnail I was thinking that was a big cigarette…
