Romania and Moldova Central Euorpe💀
I prefer the distinctions of Beer, Wine, and Booze Europe
Beer=Germany and Ireland, Wine=Romania, Moldova and France, Booze=Eastern Europe
I think the most interesting part is Germany and Switzerland not being part of the West Europe. Anytime someone uses the term Central Europe, it seems to me just trying to be not considered Eastern Europe.
According to most maps, this is Central Europe:
And this is Western Europe:
Spain and Portugal are logically Ultra-West Europe
Interesting, probably a Czech thing then. We like to pretend we are part of the Western Europe, or at least Central Europe (as opposed to the uncivilized east). You often even get maps of Western Europe like this:
Bro included Northern and bits of Southern Europe💀
As an American, this is what I thought was Western Europe. Though it’s never been formally defined for me now that I think about it. Glad to learn something new.

Well, Czech Rep is the most westernized Slavic country since centuries under Austrian rule, but if you look at the name itself, Austria or Osterreich means “eastern realm” lol.
Also geographical center of Europe is in Belarus.
I’m German myself and I consider myself a central European and a western European alike. If I had to choose I’d go with central European.
Honestly it feels like it depends on the region mostly. Brandenburg? Definitely Central Europe. Essen? Definitely Western Europe.
“The dutch use the Düsseldorf airport sometimes so it’s basically France.”
Just more evidence that Europe doesn’t exist.
