Not at all pokey and completely harmless but the legs are VERY grippy. When you pull them off it’s like velcro.

I was hoping it was closer to me. I’ve been trying to find some near me for a photo shoot for a while now but no luck.
I was reading about them and it says they prefer ash trees so maybe look for those in the forests near you. Also in rotted logs and tree stumps.
