They did. And they’re called Zionists. The idea? Gaza: a more fenced off open air concentration camp approach, where you can ban world media coverage and commit genocide without anyone really knowing the full extent of the horror.

      It’s moronic, at any rate…

I know that part of growing up Catholic is excessive guilt, but being LGBTQ+ without realizing that the whole religion is toxic and specifically harmful to people like you is some Log Cabin Republican level of denial!

If you’re trying to reconcile LGBTQ+ interests with Catholicism, maybe it’s time you just took the damn hint. Abandon archaic religions and free your conscience.

Asking the spokesperson of the biggest paedophile ring on the planed to reconsider maybe accept them despite their hatred for everything they are and represent is wild.

Until John Paul the Second, Catholics didn’t care. Most of the priests were gay. In a different era where coming out was not a legitimate option for most, being a priest was a pretty good way to have a fulfilling life.

There was a shortage of priests. People looked the other way about what happened after hours.

People real upset about LGBTQ+ Catholics.

The group petitioning the Pope is not only not hurting people (either through dogma or otherwise), but are actively trying to make the world better by easing what are already rancorous divisions.

Let people have their harmless comforts while they can.

The meeting transpired about six months after the Vatican released “Dignitas Inifinita” (Infinite Dignity), in which it referred to gender-affirming care as threat to human dignity akin to poverty, abuse, and war.

Sorry, the Pope is infallible. If you align your gender, you’re basically Stalin.

      the Pope is infallible

Technically, the pope needs to explicitly invoke infallibility before making a statement if he wants it to be infallible. The last time this was done was 1950 to state Mary, mother of Jesus, had both her body and soul transported to heaven. Other statements are just the pope’s opinion and followers of the faith are allowed to disagree without being heretical.

Pfft, amateurs. Discordian popes can apply infallibility retroactively.

Also, I think there is a bit of a mistranslation: the Catholic Church most likely does not consider material poverty a sin, they meant “being poor in spirit”, or lacking any good values.

If you change your gender that means god wants you too right? Otherwise the cunt wouldn’t be all powerful.

Humans have free will, so no, god cannot tell you what to do. He can ask you to not do something, but in the end it’s your choice. For which they can eternally punish you, but yaknow. First ammendment rules.
