Building my first new gaming and work rig since 2017 and wanted to get feedback on this. Initially was going to go with an i7 13700k, RTX 4080 and 32GB, but scrapped it and decided to go with an all AMD rig.
Any immediate red flags? Mobo will need to be flashed first for that processor, checked the CPU cooler and it’s compatible with the motherboard. Anything else that sticks out?
Only things I’m concerned about are RAM clearance and whether it will all fit in that case OK.
Thanks for any help or tips.
3 points that I noticed.
- This exact gpu tends to have loud parts in it (not sure how to say it in english, coil noise?) In combination with an airflow case, this might be something that you will hear all the time. I bought the saphire nitro+ and can only hear this specific sound when I boost my gpu.

100€ for windows is too much. Try to get a key. It should only cost you about 5€. Those are legal.
- Make sure that you have enough fans. Can recommend 3-4 for input and 2-3 for exhaust.

Does the case come with enough exhaust and intake fans?

Fractal often has enough.
Damn, that’s a kick in the nuts. I git the corsair 400D and it at least came with 3 120mm

I dont remember needing a USB adaptor. But I did cut myself installing the cpu power header, so Id recommend not fully installing the cpu cooler until you get those wires installed
I’d switch out the RAM with a 6000 MHz kit since that is the sweet spot for AMD. Igor’s lab was able to run it higher, but this is what he recommends link. I’d also check that the kit is checked by the motherboard vendor since DDR5 still rather new.

PCPartPicker says the PSU comes with 6 connectors, so you could even add a second GPU in there 😆

I don’t know what’s different but Corsair 1000W (2023) is cheaper than the 2021 version. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BYQHWJXC?psc=1
