Funny, my GPU came with a code for the Avatar game (AMD) - but to redeem it, you have to run some utility from AMD that I couldn’t get to work to detect my card to redeem the game =\
I had to do the same thing. Email them with your invoice as proof of purchase. It took about a week but they did eventually get back to me.
It’s a Ubisoft Launcher code though. Haven’t tried running the launcher on Linux yet.
I could, but it’s been 9 months at this point. And after looking the game up before I tried redeeming, the game (at the time) looked Meh at best.
I think last time I ran some portable Windows USB to do that.
AMDs stupid redemption software is such a pain in the ass on linux.
Last time I tried to use it the website didnt even work, I had to contact their support people who gave me like 2 copy and pasted replies before i got someone to even read my post and just give me a direct download link for the tool.
Wish they’d go back to just putting the fucking keys on cards in the box.
Perhaps a passthrough to a VM running Windows would work? Though that’s probably a lot of work unless you already use one.
Had the same issue with another title. After a lot of trial and error I contacted their support with a copy of my recipe, explaining the situation, and they activated it for me so I could redeem my Steam code.
i can’t wait for native wayland, what’s the hold on that?
From my experience using it: Mostly steam overlay and clipboard copy/paste not working. The rest seems fine.
How about mouse constraints? Last time I tried Genshin with pure Proton Wayland and my mouse kept escaping to my second monitor :/
Had no Problems with that in FF14, Remnant 2, Satisfactory, Supermarket Together and Subnautica Below Zero. Tested them all under Sway, not sure how much that influences these results.
May I know which Proton version you’ve used? I tried the CachyOS variant
I use wine-tkg (https://github.com/Frogging-Family/wine-tkg-git)
Just tried the Proton-Tkg Wine Master and it works. I get occasional issues in UIs and also have a broken Steam overlay, but it’s good enough for me, thanks :3
I hope one day Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be there. All Isaac DLCs were native, why Edmund?!
Wait. It doesn’t even run through Proton? Meaning you cannot play Repentance through Linux at all?
