I’ve been putting off proper inventory management for weeks now, I need to go through all my retainers and make room on them ahead of DT launch. I did start on it, I’ve got one that collects tokens and raid drops, ended up dumping all my Alexander tokens (cause I can easily replace them) and traded in any that I could get stuff with. Freed up about 30 spots. But I have so much random stuff just stored up that I can probably clear out.
I am in the same boat. One of my retainers is over 50% full of tokens and in-progress relics. I think I’m going to have to just decide what I am still pursuing and what I am giving up on and clean house accordingly.
The vast majority of mine are 150+ (I have 9 of them - yeah, I have a problem 😂).
If we look at what they store:
- Housing stuff x 1
- Tokens & Exchange items x 1
- Crafting materials x 2
- Currently not in use gear x 1 - this is things like I’ve pre bought poetic gear for Picto and Viper for example
- Miscellaneous storage x 1 - this is for stuff like excess FC sub materials, fireworks, and other stuff that I can probably clean out easily enough if I try
- Materia x 1 - this one is only at about 120ish of 175, but I figure we’ll be getting XI and XII in DT so this will get more stuff
- Dyes / Orchestrion Rolls x 1 - probably a 50/50 split, I’ve got a ton of the damaged rolls (I forget what they’re actually called) I need to get around to crafting taking up space
- Minions & Mounts x 1 - This one I can definitely clear out, I’m just holding all the duplicate minions I had from retainer ventures, GC loot boxes and FC subs, but it seems a waste to just vendor them, so I haven’t done it yet
There’s a ton of opportunity there to make plenty of space for DT, I just need to spend a day going through it all, working out what I need to keep and what I can easily replace and actually do the cleanup. And then repeat the process on some of my alts.
