Great games, but people are about to be real disappointed - BG3 added a LOT of QoL features to the game, and even 2 is kinda hard to go back to afterwards
Just to add to this. My friend and I just finished our first play through of BG3. So, we started a play through of “Divinity Original Sin 2”, Larian’s last game. It’s good, but has some very obvious issues. If you loved BG3, you’ll like DOS2. As long as you’re willing to put in the work to find a build that’s actually viable.
Work? What were you doing wrong? I’ve played both divinity original sin games and I’m not really sure what you mean, you pick a class and level it up, buy skills from merchants, how did it go wrong?
I tried multiple times, BG1 and 2 are very outdated (imo).
Second edition D&D was a very different game, it’s going to be a culture shock for sure.
I wish there was some kind of AI voice mod for BG2. Long Covid has left me unable to read long texts but I seem to be able to listen to the dialogues that are voiced.
I’ve only played BG1 so far but the third one made me nostalgic and I wanted to finally play BG2. But I just can’t get over the long texts. I didn’t read the books in BG3 either and listening to streamers reading them I actually missed important tips for some quests.
