Considering her record in W series was average, I have heavy doubts if the laps compared were representative.

Can you elaborate that a bit? Hawkins was faster than Drugovich over a single lap in this test, or what actually happened?

It would not be secret if she was faster than a F2 champion and she’d be walking into a F2 team at the very least. The amount of sponsorship money available for a class leading woman is insane.

More likely she was very close to his times. Last time Suzie Wolff drove she was miles off the sharp end. This in itself should be enough to get her into F2 with a good team.

Also considering how much chadwick dominated W-series, this would mean chadwick would be good enough for competing in the sharp end of the F1 grid which I doubt is true

The AMR21 is a car from before the current regulations. Has Drugovich tested a current gen F1 car yet? He has done FPs, if I’m not mistaken? Maybe that could explain it, if he’s used to current gen and not the old ones.

If Hawkins stepped in for only 26 laps and was faster than Drugo, that would be a very bad look for a F2 champion.
