It’s really bad, both Doctors without borders and the Red crescent have reported that the Israelis deliberately target their workers.
And the Israelis officially deny it, but in social media, their supporters accuse Hamas of abusing ambulances.
Obviously, both can’t be true at the same time. Either they deliberately hit a clearly marked ambulance, or they didn’t.
On YouTube and Reddit it’s obvious that a lot of astroturfing goes on in the popular subs and channels.
Meanwhile, in real life and in less astroturfed social media, I see Israel rapidly losing support.
And I, for one, am sick of having Islamic terrorism and anti-semitism in Europe and instability on our front door. And the cause of that is for a large part Israel oppressing Palestinians , something that even many European Jews don’t support.
I really don’t know why our European leaders can’t just be neutral and unbiased in the conflict. Zionism and Israeli colonialism bring us zero benefit.
One state or two state solution or perpetual war with the Arabs, let Israel figure this one out without us, please.
On the positive side, the Irish PM was refreshingly honest.
Another aspect of this is when western media and politicians are hesitant to call out Netanyahu’s administration right now, despite so many Israeli people wanting him gone and months of massive protests in the country.
As for Ireland, they’ve actually long been different from other European counterparts about Israel/Palestine in both public opinion and government policy. The reasoning given is that they felt a shared sense of struggle against a powerful neighboring regime early on, and that helped them focus on the human rights aspects of the issue
Very true.
I read that 80% of Israelis disprove of him.
He also sounds like a mad man on TV.
So WTH is my PM rallying around this douche?
Like, condemn Hamas, pressure them to return the hostages and condemn violence and oppression against Palestinian civilians.
It’s not a difficult script to follow.
the cause of that is for a large part Israel oppressing Palestinians , something that even many European Jews don’t support.
Here’s some relevant quotes:
Source: Hareetz. I suspect some would be surprised to read these kinds of opinions in a relatively large Israeli paper.
While Israel is part of the cause of Islamic terrorism in Europe, I think we should not pat too much on our backs. Yes, our countries’ positions taking sides on Israel is problematic as hell and so is us being tied to the US in the minds of many people outside Europe. But so is our own Islamophobia. I get where it comes from, but othering and sidelining people will lead to further radicalization. Which for people whose Islamophobia is rooted in current oppression in many Islamic societies, is entirely opposite of what they want.
I wonder why medical facilities might be targeted. Oh, right, they make great human shields. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shifa_Hospital
Let’s just kill all these human shields.
Surely that will help this conflict.
It doesn’t make any sense.
Israel just calls everything a terrorist or human shield to justify their war crimes.
Hamas is not launching attacks from hospitals. If they are, then there would be evidence.

Not sure about launching rockets from hospitals, but Hamas have apparently been using the hospital that OP cited as a torture center, even the Palestinian Authority says so (because some of their members were claimed to have been tortured by Hamas terrorists in that same hospital).
Can you provide a source for that?
It is always wrong and inhumane to target hospitals. There is no ethical reason to attack a functioning hospital.
Im realizing all these comments about hamas hiding in protected locations, are just accusing them of hiding in their own country. Like its just a given that Israel has to bomb Gaza, why dont they just go stand in an open field?
Did Hamas plan and prepare for this situation in some way before they launched their raids? As grim as it is, this does not come as a surprise.
