I don’t always agree with Al Sharpton, but he’s right. Man is so racist he paid for newspaper ads saying the Central Park Five should get the death penalty. Just saying it wasn’t good enough, he had to pay to get that message out to a wider audience. That’s next level hate. He’d throw these rappers under the bus in a heartbeat. Or pay someone else to do it.

Trump basically had a decade long temper tantrum because an uppity Black guy became president. Prior he just did TV and occasionally showed up to WWE. That’s how racist he is.

Why are black people supporting a man who had to be sued by the Justice Department to force him to rent to black people?

The lawsuit was based on evidence gathered by testers for the New York City Human Rights Division, which alleged that black people who went to Trump buildings were told there were no apartments available, while white people were offered units.

Maybe it has something to do with the guy that had a LOT of them locked up with his crime bill? The one that keeps over funding police when there has been public cry to defund them? The same way that the rust belt remembered who helped give their jobs away with trade deals.

Back in the 90s rappers would bring up Donald Trump as a symbol for wealth and success. If they’re still doing that they haven’t really been paying attention.

A good point made by a bad person (any person) remains a good point.

People forget that there are certain elements of black culture in the US that has a lot in common with Trump’s form of populism. For instance, there’s a fair amount of homophobia and misogyny in that particular part of pop culture, and that aligns very, very neatly with Trump. Black culture in the US can be very religious and socially conservative (75% of black people identify as Christian, versus about 69% of white people; 20% more black people than white are Protestants of one denomination or another). If Republicans could stop being racist (difficulty: impossible), then the values that Republicans espouse would fit neatly with values that a large number of black people have.

Against another candidate I’d say this is a good point, but if you’re bringing up Trump’s past you’re just opening the door to: “BiDeN WaS RaCiSt ToO iN tHe PaSt!”

It’s not the slam dunk they think it is :/
