Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they were called to Hardwick’s Texas home Tuesday for a welfare check and discovered his body. We’re told Hardwick was pronounced dead at the scene … and no foul play is suspected. We don’t yet know the cause of death.

I already strongly felt that they shouldn’t reboot King of the Hill for a lot of reasons, but I especially can’t imagine them going through with it now.
They wisely chose to take the axe to the Boondocks revival after Grandpa died. Doing the show without John Witherspoon would be like continuing The Simpsons after Harry Shearer or Dan Castellaneta died (and of course, Disney probably WOULD do that, but it wouldn’t be a smart idea).
Man, if the King of the Hill reboot is still in the works, it just won’t be the same without the so many great voices that we’ve lost over the years.
It was confirmed back in January. They very well may have already begun recording lines.
