Considering the majority of flavours we experience are in fact smells, if you can cook by your nose you’re usually pretty safe on how the end result will come out.

Lemme share something with you people.

Eggs are still stupid cheap, today. However, there are too many greedy people between the producer and people that need them for eating.

My everyday job has me go around to places most will not go and one day I discovered an egg farm, somewhat off the beaten path, that sells directly. Only requirement is that they sell a minimum of thirty eggs (a tray).

I made a few questions and now I’m bringing eggs weekly from there, invoiced to me by weight. No size distinction but most eggs are L size. Roughly speaking, each egg is 0,1667€, with VAT already included. The same egg in supermarkets is sold anywhere between 6 to 11 cents more expensive.

I fell off a first floor balcony, helping in a move. Landed on a bush, bounced off it, and came to a stop on a stone paved floor, after breaking a kitchen cabinet with my shoulder and back.

Cut my brow on a twig in the bush, twisted my left ankle, scraped my left shoulder, elbow and hand.

Would do it again.

Hadn’t I leaned too forward to release a foot of the cabinet, it would have tumbled down onto another person, with no warning, straight into their head.

So… worth the scars and bruises.

Remember those black filling pastes dentists used to use? Some had metal in it. Modern ones are safe, as those materials were phased out, deemed unsafe. Most stable countries have done this but in some parts of the world it is still possible to have those older fillings in use.

And, yes, I’ve seen people strongly avised to have their cavities reviewed before undergoing MRI exams. The metalic filling are, according to what I was explained, dangerous by two different reasons: the filling can be physically pulled from the teeth, causing severe trauma, but the metal can heat up inside the mouth and cause severe burns.

There is a reason why the request “remove all metal items you may have on you” is done before starting the exam.

I’ve seen people with old teeth fillings being rejected because the machine can pull it straight out of your mouth.

Not that I’m aware. I have been trying to fully activate the keyboard, as the machine has a windows key and a function key. The mapping is screwed to the point Alt+F4 lowers volume

I’ve been considering getting one of those for years but how do they fare with playing games.

I’m mostly a casual gamer but some require acting fast.

I’ll try to deactivate the touch pad, via software. But if that was the case, for the start, this behaviour would manifest. It started randomly, after a few weeks of use.

The mouse randomly clicking is noticeable already at the user log in screen, so I’m going to risk creating a new account will retain the strange behaviour.

You did manage to make me think there are two DEs on the machine and, maybe, by some weird event, there is an overlapping conflicting mouse controller.

Booting from a thumb drive is going to be very useful and I thank you for that suggestion. If the latest ISO running live replicates this behaviour, then there is the possibility there is a bug I can report.
